HCBB Receives Grant from The Friends for Hawaii Charities 5/27/20

The Hawai‘i Cord Blood Bank was once again invited to participate in the 2019-2020 Aloha for Hawai‘i Charities fundraising campaign, an annual fundraising event for local charities. The program raised $160,000 for Hawaii non-profits this past year. Through your generous contributions, HCBB received a bonus percentage match donation for the support of our program. In addition, we received $8,000 in grant funds from the Friends of Hawai‘i Charities Program. Thank you all for your support especially during these difficult times.

The Friends of Hawai‘i Charities Inc., in partnership with The Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, Inc. has distributed $20 million in the last twenty-two years to program like ours. It is through the Sony Open in Hawaii that The Friends of Hawaii Charities serves our island community, generating funds for Hawaii’s women, children, elderly and impoverished. We are truly grateful for organizations like the Friends of Hawai‘i Charities who help to make our mission of giving the gift of life a second time possible.
